So I have made it - Two full years. I had one goal leading into surgery - I wanted to be happy and healthy.
To be honest, I don't know if I truely knew what that meant. I wanted to be able to shops at normal shops and feel like people didn't judge me anymore. But the truth is, even after dropping 60kg I still think people judge me.
The judgement doesn't stop until you stop judging yourself. I am happier than I ever thought I could ever be. I am healthier than I ever thought I could be. The things that I though that used to matter don't anymore and I am living a life I never thought possible.
I have lost the weight and gained a life. I am now a triathlete and value myself more than I ever have before. It's not the easy way out. Never let anyone tell you that. The last 2 years have been 2 of the toughest years I have ever had, but they have also been 2 of the best years. Thank you to each and everyone of you who have invested in my journey - for 2 years or 2 days. I appreciate you all.
One piece of advice. This is more than a weightloss journey. So be prepared.
